Customized Race Strategy
Using the details of your specific event and needs into consideration, we’ll partner with you to create a race strategy. It will include such things as:
which gear/nutrition/hydration choices to use
whether/when to sleep
how much idle time you can afford in order to meet time goals
crew and/or drop bag needs
checklists of things to do at specific aid stations
simple and personal reminders for you to recall at strategic points
A sampling of things we’ll consider as we create your strategy:
the distance and terrain between aid stations
the time of day you’ll be covering certain sections
the amenities available at aid stations (e.g. drop bags, sleep station, etc)
stations with crew and pacer accessibility
cut-off times
anticipated weather conditions

Customized Crew Training
You recruit your crew and we’ll prepare them to support you at your event. Over the course of several working sessions, we’ll train them to know:
what to expect when crewing
their roles & responsibilities
relevant race details and rules
important aid station information (e.g. crew/pacer access/restrictions, locations for sleep, drop bags, and medical)
pacing best practices
tips to keep you (and themselves) safe
essential and recommended gear and supplies
how to best support you throughout your event
We also help them with logistics such as planning and coordinating travel, transport, and lodging (if applicable) for the event.
We basically act as the Crew Lead leading up to your event then handover the responsibility to a crew member you designate to take over at the event.

On-Location Crew Lead
Crazy Dog Crewing will attend your event and lead all crew operations throughout (includes managing the crew you’ve selected) .
